Programmable Thermostats

As discussed under the Smart Homes section, one of the easiest ways to control your energy costs is to upgrade your thermostat. The market now has thermostats that can be remotely controlled, which have higher sensitivity and can be programmed in advance - all of this ensures that you don’t need to heat or cool your house unnecessarily. In a climate like the GTA’s where we have high cooling loads in the summer and extremely high heating loads in the winters, this can add up to quite a bit of saving.
